New York, New York Travel Agent
My Travel Agent Life
I’ve taken an interesting journey that led me to becoming the successful travel agent that I am today. I grew up in Chicago but eventually moved to North Carolina with my family. I stayed there until college and then spent a year studying in South Wales in the United Kingdom. That was the year I began traveling more seriously, and it became a passion that has stayed with me all my life.
I moved back to attend graduate school in Hartford, Connecticut. During this time in my life, I worked at a nonprofit where I booked cultural excursions for nearby schools. I worked different jobs at the agency aside from booking, and at one point, I was their main producer for a charity film project in Guatemala. All of these experiences helped to shape my world view, and after graduating, I moved to New York and became a full-time travel agent with Bear & Bear.
I initially worked with NGOs and nonprofits, and I set up complex itineraries for charities around the world. Most of my bookings were for humanitarian groups going to Africa, and I learned a lot about booking short-notice trips for huge groups across the world. I was very grateful for these experiences, as they have helped shaped by world view for the better.
Now that I’m a part of the fantastic Bear & Bear Travel team, I thrive at creating unforgettable travel experiences for my clients, wherever their ideal destination may be.
